Run-of-the-mill offenders shared quarters with those held for bigamy, highway robbery, illegal voting, escaping from chain gang, suspected lunacy, and insanity. An interesting note: Clothing expenses for males and females in 1895 included coats, hats, shoes, socks, pants, shirts, dresses, and "draws."
